Prokaryotic- Do not contain a nucleus or membrane bound organism. Instead their DNA forms a circular loop and floats freely in the center of the cells cytoplasm. Prokaryotic cells are unicellular, meaning they complete all of life`s functions within that one cell. They are simple cells because they can perform less tasks than Eukaryotic cells. Bacteria are the only group of living things that have prokaryotic cells. They are the oldest organisms on earth.
Eukaryotic- Have a nucleus and membrane bound organelles that are specialized to make the organism. Eukaryotes can be unicellular or multicellular. Eukaryotes are the most complex cells because they can perform more tasks than bacteria. All other groups of living things such as protists, fungi, plats, and animals all have eukaryotic cells. They are extremely diverse and vary in the ways that they move, obtain nutrients, and reproduce.
